htmltoprint zine
A5 htmltoprint zine, riso printed cover (black, forest green)
Code n' Print! is a zine produced as part of a workshop organized and led by myself at the École supérieure d'art & de communication (Esac) in Cambrai, with assitance from
Valentin Lemaire and
Robyn Powderly.
The zine was produced in an educational context. The aim was to introduce students to editorial design using web tools and technologies (html, css, js), printing and finishing. It's also about experimenting, imagining new graphic compositions, but above all proposing an alternative to Indesign and other proprietary page layout software. The workshop is also an introduction to the culture of free software in graphic design: the fonts used are free of copyright.
The texts used for the layout are extracts from books, most of which are available in the school's library, and were chosen according to the interests of the workshop participants.
